Vinpocetine is an alkaloid synthesized from vincamine, a natural compound extracted from the leaves of the periwinkle flowering plant (Vinca minor).

Studies show that vinpocetine can aid brain function by increasing blood flow to certain parts of the brain. Vinpocetine supports cognitive function, cerebrovascular health, and may provide neuroprotection via its antioxidant properties.
